Luiz Racia was announced as a race driver for Marussia during the first pre-season Formula 1 test 2013 but his sponsors payment deadline was missed and finaly Jules got the seat 2 weeks before the first race.
Jules is the grandson of Mauro Bianchi, three-times World Champion in the GT category, and the grandnephew of Lucien, who won the 24 Hours of Le Mans and competed in nineteen Grands Prix in the Formula One World Championship between 1959 and 1968, with a podium finish in Monaco Jules had a serious accident at the Japanese GP 2014 with serious headinjurys, he never woke up again and 9 month later Jules passed away.
