After announcing that he would race for Chip Ganassi in the NASCAR series 2007 Montoya was removed from his race seat at McLaren midsesason. Later 2006 made his debut in NASCAR at Homested. Juan Pablo Montoya is the only driver ever who has driven in all three major events at Indianapolis, Allstate 400, US GP & INDY500
Juan's brother Federico drove in the German Formula BMW Championship 2004 without any success
In 2003 Juan switched car with Jeff Gordon and drove his NASCAR.
