'The old Abruzzi robber', as he became known. He remains the oldest GP winner of them all. 53 years-France GP 1951. During practice for the Monaco Sports car GP Fagioli lost control of his car in the tunnel and sled into a stone balustrade and thrown out, he was taken to hospital unconscious, with some broken bones. Four days later he woke up and seemed to be ok, but three weeks after the crash he died by a complete failure of the nervous system.
